Yumuzhai, a Tujia village, is located at the junction of Hubei and Chongqing, 61 kilometers east of Lichuan City. It is surrounded by cliffs. There are Tujia ancient castles, Xiongguan pass, ancient tombs, plank roads and private houses here. It is the best-preserved Tujia village in China. transportation
Take a long-distance bus from Enshi or Lichuan to Daxing Township, and then walk 3 kilometers on the mountain road to Yumuzhai. There is only one bus from Lichuan to Daxing every day. It departs from Daxing Township at 7:00 in the morning, arrives in Lichuan in 2 hours, and returns from Lichuan at 12:30 noon. If you can’t take this bus, you can only take a bus to Moudao Zhuan (8-10 yuan), and then charter a bus from Moudao.
