·The Circular Qiu is located in the southern half of the Temple of Heaven. It was first built in 1530. The Circular Qiu is the place where the emperor held the Winter Solstice ceremony to worship the sky, also known as the Temple of Heaven.
·The circular mound faces south and is surrounded by red palace walls decorated with green glazed tiles, commonly known as “sub-walls”.
·The number of stones used in the altar is related to the number “nine”. The sum of the three layers is 45 feet, which is not only a multiple of nine, but also means “the honor of nine and five”.
