·Haiyan Hall is the landmark building of the Old Summer Palace after Yuanyingguan. It is a European-style garden landscape.
·There is a large fountain in the Haiyan Hall. On the left and right sides of the pool are arranged the bronze statues of human bodies and animal heads of the twelve Chinese zodiac animals (the bronze statues of animal heads in the Yuanmingyuan).
·Every twelve hours of the day and night, the twelve zodiac signs take turns spraying water. At noon, the twelve bronze statues spray spring water from their mouths at the same time. These bronze statues are designed by Westerners and made in China. They integrate Eastern and Western cultures. They are commonly known as “ “Hydraulic Clock”.
