Xiaojinshan is one of the twenty-four scenic spots in Shouxi Lake in Yangzhou. It is a small island in Shouxi Lake. It was originally named Changchun Ridge and was built in the middle of the Qing Dynasty. At that time, in order to open up the water channel from Slender West Lake to Daming Temple, the wealthy gentry of Yangzhou dug the Lotus Ridge New River in the northwest of Slender West Lake. The soil dug from the river piled up into a hill, which is today’s Xiaojin Mountain. Xiaojinshan is surrounded by water. The water flows with the mountain, and the mountain is alive with water. There is a “wind pavilion” on the top of the mountain, which is the highest point in the whole garden.
