Surrounded by mountains and crossed by a river, Xiaoqi’s village houses are mostly built in the Ming and Qing dynasties, each with its own unique style. The ancient roads and pavilions with bluestone guardrails at the head of the village, as well as the “High School (Jinshi) Success Report” of the clan members between Liangzhu and the vaguely identifiable “Jiang’s Ancestral Hall”, also make it easy for people to imagine the prominence and prosperity of the ancient village back then.
