·Wuying Hall was originally one of the main office spaces of the outer palace. Later it was turned into a calligraphy and painting hall, and its east and west side halls were used as a classics hall.
·The museum has a rich collection of ancient Chinese paintings and calligraphy, including rare ancient books from the Jin, Tang, Song and Yuan Dynasties, as well as representative works by famous painters from the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
·The more famous ones include Wang Xizhi’s “Lanting Preface”, Li Tang’s “Picture of Picking Wei”, Wen Zhengming’s “Humble Chamber Inscription”, etc.
·Due to limited space, the collection of paintings and calligraphy can only be displayed on a rotating basis, and the exhibits will be changed every few months.
