·Formerly known as Ziqiang School founded by Zhang Zhidong, governor of Huguang in the late Qing Dynasty, it was later renamed “National Wuhan University”; it is adjacent to East Lake, surrounded by Luojia Mountain, and the campus is lined with green trees.
·Cherry blossoms are famous far and wide. There are major cherry blossom viewing spots on campus such as Sakura Castle, Cherry Blossom Avenue, Sakura Summit, and Luojia Square. Among them, the “Sakura Avenue” in front of “Laozhaishe” is a good place for cherry blossom viewing at Wuhan University.
·In addition to the cherry blossoms, what is more worth seeing are the old buildings; the faculty and staff residential complex on the southeast side of Luojia Mountain. The overall architectural style adopts the British country house style, and each building has its own characteristics.
