The West Sixth Palace is located in the Palace Museum in Dongcheng District. It was also used as a courtyard for concubines during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It corresponds to the East Sixth Palace and includes Yongshou Palace, Yikun Palace, Chuxiu Palace, Xianfu Palace, Changchun Palace and Qixiang Palace. , Qixiang Palace was later renamed Taiji Palace. However, in the late Qing Dynasty, the palace layout of the West Sixth Palace underwent two major changes, and the shape no longer completely corresponded to the East Sixth Palace. The first change was during the Xianfeng Dynasty, when the apse of Qixiang Palace was changed into a cross hall, connected to the Changchun Palace in the north, and the two two-entry courtyards were merged into a four-entry courtyard.
