After leaving the Taoli Garden, you enter the West Garden. The West Garden was built during the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty. It was originally the former residence of Hu Wenzhao, a fourth-rank official and the prefect of Kaifeng, Henan. The gate is a brick eight-character gate tower, which looks extraordinary. The residences in the courtyard are three joint buildings with three units, containing fine stone carvings, ancient Xidi village monuments, etc.
