Wencheng Castle is located next to Yanpeng Tourism Avenue. It was built by Canadian overseas Chinese Mr. Li Wencheng and Penglai Wencheng Architectural Decoration Co., Ltd. with an investment of 600 million yuan. The castle is a clever combination of European architectural elements, mainly in the Baroque style. The building materials, mainly precious travertine, carry the essence of European architecture and decorative arts, embodying a unique aristocratic atmosphere. Surrounded by a moat, it contains sea water, where sea cucumbers and abalone can be raised, and people can also play in the water and row boats. It is full of fun. Coupled with the design of concave front and convex back, the castle shows unique variability regardless of forward or rear view, plane or three-dimensional. Although it is only 4 stories high, its diversity and changes that are unmatched by other buildings bring unlimited space for imagination. Elegant in shape, the dome points directly to the blue sky, the trapezoidal and conical roofs on both sides are interspersed, superimposed and interlaced, and the fireplace and chimney are embellished, which fully demonstrates the romantic feelings and heroic spirit unique to European technology.
In July 2017, the Happy Twist team traveled all over the country to find the location for filming the fourth comedy movie “The Richest Man in Xihong City”. Finally, “it was hard to find anywhere, and it took no effort to find it.” They met by chance. Wencheng Castle, which has the characteristics of European classical architectural art, was finally amazed by such a unique European-style castle group in China, and used it as the most ideal location for interior shooting.
