·The tomb is on the right side of the stone path outside the Duanliang Hall in Huqiu Mountain, Suzhou. A pavilion was built against the rock, with a brick wall in the east and a large and small bluestone inlaid on both sides, both of which were engraved with the four characters “Gu Zhenniang’s Tomb” in regular script.
·There is indeed a true mother. Her original name is Hu and her given name is Ruizhen. She is from the north. She was a brothel girl in the Tang Dynasty. She has the same name as Su Xiaoxiao, another prostitute in Hangzhou, and is known as the “Fragrant Soul”.
·In the 10th year of Emperor Qianlong’s reign, Emperor Gaozong of the Qing Dynasty rebuilt his tomb and covered it with a small pavilion. Many literati wrote poems here, such as Bai Juyi, Li Shangyin, etc.
