·One of the largest squares in the world, located on the south side of Chang’an Avenue, on the traditional central axis of Beijing.
·The center of the square is the Monument to the People’s Heroes, with the Great Hall of the People on the west side, the National Museum on the east side, and the Tiananmen Gate Tower on the opposite side of the square.
·Every morning and evening, a flag-raising and lowering ceremony is held. For those who are new to Beijing, watching a flag-raising and lowering ceremony is a must-do.
·There are many people coming to see the flag-raising ceremony in the early morning, so be sure to go out early or travel at off-peak hours.
