【Luoyang White Horse Temple Thailand Buddhist Temple Garden】
The Thai Buddhist Temple Garden of White Horse Temple in Luoyang, with the strong support of the Chinese and Thai governments and the Buddhist community, and the care of the late acting monk king of Thailand and the abbot of the Golden Mountain Temple in Bangkok, Somdet Paptazan, was founded by Thailand’s great philanthropist Wattana •Mr. Asawa created it with great sincerity.
In 1992, Mr. Wattana Asawa, a Thai believer, paid homage to the White Horse Temple in Luoyang. In order to enhance the friendship between the Buddhist circles of China and Thailand, he presented a 7.2-meter-high and 8-ton gold-plated copper statue to the White Horse Temple in Luoyang. Giant Buddha, and later funded the construction of a Thai Buddhist temple together with the White Horse Temple in Luoyang. The main hall was completed in 1995. It was renovated and expanded in 2010. All projects were completed in 2014, and a grand “Thailand-style Buddhist Temple Garden Completion Ceremony and Consecration Ceremony to Welcome the Buddha’s Relics” was held on September 26.
The Thai Buddhist Temple Garden is located on the west side of the ancient Baima Temple area in Luoyang, with a length of 108 meters and a width of 108 meters. It has four garden gates, one each in the east, west, north and south, of which the east gate is the main gate. The main buildings in the garden include the stupa, Erawan Buddha, Big Buddha Hall, museum, circulation office, bell and drum tower, pavilion, etc. The buildings are well-proportioned and relaxed.
