Suxianling is located about 2 kilometers northeast of Chenzhou City. It was originally called Niubi Mountain and is not too high. It is said that in ancient times, a man named Su Dan ascended to immortality here. It is a scenic spot that combines myths and legends, beautiful scenery and historical sites. It is known as the “Eighteenth Blessed Place in the World”. It is also a daily mountain climbing fitness center for Chenzhou citizens. , a common place to relax on weekends.
From the foot of the mountain to the top of Suxianling, there are Taohuaju, Bailu Cave, Sanjue Monument, Jingxing Temple, Bazi Ming, Agarwood Stone, Suxian Temple and other viewing and tourist places. Taohuaju is the starting point for tourists to climb. It faces the Taohua River and is surrounded by bamboo forests. The environment is very elegant. Bailu Cave is located above Taohuaju. It is said that the white deer nursed Su Dan here when he was young. Go up the stone steps from Bailu Cave and you will reach the stele-protecting pavilion about 100 meters away. There is a natural stone wall about 4 meters high in the pavilion with the “Three Jue Stele” on it. The “Three Jue” refers to Qin Guan’s The poem “Tasha Xing·Chenzhou Hotel”, the postscript written by the great writer Su Shi, and the handwriting of the famous calligrapher Mi Fu. This is also a common place for Chenzhou citizens to go hiking for daily fitness and relax on weekends.
