Shennong Altar is located in Muyu Town, Shennongjia Tourism Open Zone, Hubei Province. It is the southern gate of Shennongjia tourism and the central tourist area. The entire scenic area is surrounded by green mountains, beautiful and quiet. The scenic area is divided into five parts: the main sacrificial area, the ancient botanical garden, the thousand-year-old ancient cedar, the butterfly herbarium, and the chime concert hall. The main building is the giant ox-headed statue of Shennong, which is 21 meters high and 35 meters wide. The statue stands among the green mountains, with the earth as its body and its eyes slightly closed, as if thinking about the mysteries of the universe. In the sacrificial area, underfoot are circular and square patterns representing heaven and earth. In the square pattern representing earth, the five-color stones represent gold, wood, water, fire and earth in the Five Elements theory.
