Scenery Pass, now the Shennong Valley, formed a loop trail with the “Big Footprint Secret Valley” and combined to form the current Shennong Valley. The Big Footprint Secret Valley is at the upper entrance, and “Scenery Valley” is the lower entrance. The two are only a few hundred meters apart.
The Big Footprint Secret Valley is a place with high mountains and deep valleys. It is said that there have been many “savage” sightings. It is also the palace of the legendary Yan Emperor Shennong.
The Shennong Valley scenic spot is 2,820 meters above sea level and is a classic landscape of the Shennongjia dolomite karst landform. After tens of millions of years of weathering and erosion, canyons and stone forest landscapes with a depth of thousands of meters have been formed. Shennong Valley is also the best scenic spot for viewing the stone forest and sea of ​​clouds. It is known as the “No. 1 Scenery in Shennong”.
Shennongjia Shennongding Scenic Area-Shennong Valley
Shennong Valley is a U-shaped valley. To visit Shennong Valley, you need to climb two peaks and a canyon. The whole journey is 4.4 kilometers, with an altitude difference of 258 meters and about 8,000 steps up and down the mountain.
Because it involves descending first and then ascending, and the drop is large, those with poor physical strength should proceed with caution.
