Santan Gorge is located in the upper reaches of the Halaha River about 78 kilometers northeast of Aershan City, within the Tianchi Forest Farm of the Aershan Forestry Bureau. It consists of three deep pools, Yingsongtan, Yingbitan, and Longfengtan. The canyon is about 3 kilometers long. The river body is composed of schists of different sizes. The rapid Halaha River runs through the valley. Pearls fly like jade scrolls. The volcanic lava is all over the river bed. The waves in the deep water are as flat as a mirror. It is difficult to see the bottom. The water is shallow. People can step on rocks and wade across the river. The south wall of the canyon is steep and steep, while the north wall is made of huge volcanic rocks. This section of the river still has ice and snow in June and is called a “summer glacier”.

- Irshi Airport is the closest airport to Aershan, about 17 kilometers away from Aershan. Tourists arrive in Irshi by plane and then transfer to Aershan by car.
- There is a railway station in Aershan. Currently, four trains to and from Baicheng and Shenyang North stop every day.
- Aershan currently has a bus terminal, and several cities around Aershan, such as Ulanhot, have buses to and from the Aershan bus station.
After arriving in Aershan City, take a taxi or charter a car to the scenic spot. There is scenic transportation in the Forest Park to various scenic spots.
