Ruiyuting was built in the Xianfeng period of the Qing Dynasty. The original owner of the house was Jiao Jiao, a Hui merchant. This courtyard is small and exquisite, elegant and unique.
The front hall is used to receive guests and friends, while the back hall is used to receive family members. Above the tin pipes at the four corners of the patio, there are four wood carving patterns, namely “Magpie Climbing the Plum Blossom”, “Phoenix with Peonies”, “Mandarin Ducks Playing in the Water”, and “Danfeng Chaoyang”, which are very distinctive. The interior design of the entire house, including carvings and ancient couplets, reflects the identity and pursuits of the owner.
