Qingliang Temple is named after the famous Manjusri sacred relic “Qingliang Stone”. It is said that this Qingliang Stone was borrowed by Manjusri Bodhisattva from the Dragon Clan.
After the dragon tribe plowed the clouds and poured rain, they felt hot all over. As soon as they lay on this big stone, Lima felt cool and comfortable. He once preached scriptures on the Qingliang Stone, so it was also called the “Manshu Bed”. The original temple was built during the period of Emperor Xiaowen of the Northern Wei Dynasty and was later destroyed during the Cultural Revolution. The current temple was rebuilt in the 1990s.
