The museum on Riyue Mountain displays painted pottery and bronze wares, which reflect the development level of social productivity of the ancient Qiang nation. Riyue Mountain is a natural dam in the east of Qinghai Lake. It belongs to the Qilian Mountains and is an important geographical dividing line in my country. Because the mountain is red, it was called Chiling in ancient times. In Tibetan and Mongolian, Riyue Mountain means the sun and the moon. According to legend, Princess Wencheng threw the precious mirror on two hills. The east side reflected the afterglow of the setting sun, and the west side reflected the rising moon. This is how Sun Moon Mountain got its name.
