The Eboling Pass is 3685 meters above sea level. It is the highest point of the Eboling Mountains. It is the intersection of National Highway 227 and S304 and is the only way from Zhangye to Xining. There are towering mountains on both sides of the pass. The road ahead looks like the end of the road, and after the turn, there is a new scenery. In ancient times, this was a stopover for trade between ethnic minorities on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and the Mongolian Plateau. It was also the place where Huo Qubing and Emperor Yang of the Sui Dynasty once walked.
