· Located in Huairou District, it is one of the New Sixteen Scenic Spots in Beijing. It is connected to the Juyongguan Great Wall to the west and Gubeikou to the east.
·With a total length of about 5,400 meters, it is currently the longest Great Wall in China. The open section of the Great Wall is about 2,250 meters long. Three watchtowers stand side by side at Zhengguantai, which is very rare.
·The famous Great Wall landscapes such as Arrow Button, Ox Horn Edge, Eagle Flying Upside Down, etc. are located at the western end of the Mutianyu Great Wall and are the essence of the Great Wall.
·Former British Prime Minister John Major, former US President Clinton and many other foreign heads of state have visited Mutianyu.

From Dongzhimen, change to the lobby and take 916 to Huairou North Street, change to bus H23, H24, H35, H36 and get off at Mutianyu Huandao Station, which is within walking distance.

Tickets
General admission tickets: adult ticket 40 RMB/student/senior/military ticket 20 RMB; ferry ticket: round trip 15 RMB/one way 10 RMB; cable car ticket: round trip 140 RMB/one way 100 RMB (January 1 - December 31, Monday - Sunday)
Free tickets: (1) Children under 6 years old (including 6 years old) or under 1.2 meters (including 1.2 meters) in height can enter the scenic spot for free (they need to be accompanied by a responsible adult). Children under 1.2 meters (including 1.2 meters) are free of charge for cable cars and shuttles.
(2) Tourists holding Beijing Pass-Elderly Care and Disability Card, Civil Affairs Preferential Card and valid ID can enter the scenic spot for free (older or disabled tourists need to be accompanied by a responsible adult, and the accompanying person needs to purchase a ticket).
(3) Retired cadres holding veteran cadre preferential treatment certificates.
(4) Disabled persons holding valid disability certificates.
Remark:
- The above ticket policies are limited to Great Wall tickets and do not include shuttle buses, cable cars, ropeways, slides and other attractions in the scenic area.
- Tourists who meet the scenic area’s preferential and ticket-free policies must present relevant documents at the ticket gate when entering the park, and can enter the park only after being inspected by staff.
- The shuttle bus service area station is about three kilometers away from the ticket gate. Tourists taking the shuttle bus are required to purchase shuttle tickets by themselves. Except for children under 1.2 meters (including 1.2 meters), it is free. All other tourists taking the shuttle bus need to purchase shuttle tickets. .
