·Mudu Ancient Town is known as the “No. 1 Town in Wuzhong”. Small bridges, flowing water, deep houses and ancient trees give it a unique atmosphere among the ancient towns.
·The Muguang River and other rivers in the town crisscross the town, and the long stone revetments form Canggu’s water scenery. The old streets are crisscrossed, and deep houses and courtyards gather in the ancient alleys.
·There is a large stage in Hongyinshan House. Emperor Qianlong often came here to watch plays during his six tours to Jiangnan. Twenty imperial edicts from the emperor are also displayed in the house.
·There are many delicious foods here, and we recommend Shijia Restaurant. The signature dish, barbel lung soup, is made with fish liver simmered in chicken soup. The fish liver is tender and the soup is extremely delicious.
·Mudu’s local handicrafts include silk, double-sided embroidery, mahogany carvings, mud inkstones, calligraphy and painting, stone carvings, etc., which can be purchased as souvenirs.
