Maohuaju is located on the southwest bank of Yuennum. The entrance door opens into a small garden courtyard, and the main hall door opens to the left of the courtyard. The beams and window sparrows in the main hall are beautifully carved in wood, and the long table, Eight Immortals table, and beauty chairs are still the same. There is an ancient plaque of “Maohuaju” hanging in the middle hall, and on both sides there are couplets written by Liang Tongshu, a lecturer at the Hanlin Academy in the Qing Dynasty and a famous calligrapher: “The family tradition of the ages is to be a filial brother, and a century-old legacy is in the poems and books.” Hanging on the right side of the patio is “ There is a plaque inscribed on the “Hai Shao Ji Qu”, and a cursive couplet written by Zhang Zhao, a famous calligrapher and opera writer in the Qing Dynasty: “The rise and fall of smoke and dew” The colorful pen chants to the clouds and the sun clears the window.” Hanging on the hall pillars are the woodcut couplets by Xu Guanzheng: “Good deeds will be used for a lifetime, and the heart will be cultivated for hundreds of years.” He Jin’s woodcut couplets: “Cherish food and clothing, not only. Cherish wealth and blessings; seek fame and fortune, but seek for yourself rather than others. “This is an excellent place to appreciate ancient Huizhou folk couplets.
