Huajing is located 2 kilometers southwest of Guling Street in Lushan Mountain in Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province. It was once the site of Lushan Dalin Temple. In the Tang Dynasty, this place was known as “the first place in Kuanglu”.
Huajing was once the place where Bai Juyi, the great poet of the Tang Dynasty, sang “Peach Blossoms of Dalin Temple”. Legend has it that when Bai Juyi was demoted to be the Sima of Jiangzhou (Jiujiang), he visited Lushan Mountain. It was late spring at that time. Bai Juyi felt that the peach blossoms had fallen at the foot of the mountain but they were still in full bloom here, so people also called this place “Bai Sima Flower Trail”. “ and built “Jingbai Pavilion”. In 1988, a “Bai Juyi Thatched Cottage Exhibition Room” was built in the garden. In 1996, a stone statue of Bai Juyi made by the famous sculptor Wang Keqing stood on the lakeside. A horizontal stone in the Huajing Pavilion is engraved with the word “Huajing”, which is said to be written by Bai Juyi.
There is a lake in Huajing called Huajing Lake, and people also call it Ruqin Lake. Ruqin Lake was built in 1961, with a water area of 110,000 square meters. The water storage capacity is 1 million m³. It is named because the lake surface looks like a violin. Because the lake is adjacent to the flower path, it is called Huajing Lake. There is a winding bridge leading to the island in the middle of the lake. The garden is full of flowers, winding paths lead to secluded lakes and mountains, and the scenery is picturesque.
