· Built during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, it is one of the four famous gardens in China along with the Humble Administrator’s Garden in Suzhou, the Summer Palace in Beijing, and the Chengde Summer Resort.
·It is famous for its exquisite architectural layout and numerous strange stones; in one garden, you can enjoy four different scenery: landscape, pastoral, forest and garden.
·It is divided into four scenic areas: central, east, west and north. On the two walls of the winding corridor that runs through the scenic area are the “Lingering in the Garden” posters by famous artists.
·The central part is famous for its waterscape, which is the essence of the whole garden; the Guanyun Peak in the eastern part is one of the three wonders of the Liuyuan Garden, which combines the four wonders of Taihu stone: “thin, wrinkled, leaky, and transparent”.
