·The largest representative work of classical gardens in Suzhou, it is known as one of the four famous gardens in China together with the Summer Palace in Beijing, Chengde Summer Resort and Suzhou Lingering Garden.
·The park is centered on water and surrounded by mountains and trees. The eastern part is open and spacious, the western part has exquisite buildings, and the central part is centered around a pool with mountains in it, which is the essence of the whole garden.
·The southern part of the park has a traditional Jiangnan architectural pattern and houses the Suzhou Garden Museum, the only garden-themed museum in China.
·Azalea Festival, Lotus Festival, off-season chrysanthemum exhibition and other special events are held in spring, summer and autumn every year.

You can take bus 40⁄313 and get off at Beiyuan Road Station, or take community bus 9016⁄9025 and get off at Suzhou Museum Station, and then walk there.

Peak season: Adult ticket 80 RMB (January 1st - December 31st, Monday - Sunday)
Half ticket: 1. Minors aged 6 years old (excluding 6 years old)-18 years old (including 18 years old);
- Full-time undergraduate students or below must present valid documents such as resident ID card or student ID card;
- Senior citizens aged 60 (including 60 years old) to 70 years old (excluding 70 years old) must present a valid resident ID card or “senior citizen preferential treatment certificate”.
Free admission: 1. Active-duty military personnel of the People’s Republic of China with valid certificates such as military ID;
- Retired military cadres must present their retired cadre certificate;
- Disabled persons can enter the park free of charge with a “Disability Certificate”. If a severely disabled person needs a companion, he or she can be accompanied by a chaperone to enter the park free of charge;
- Elderly people aged 70 years or above (including 70 years old) can enter the park for free with a valid resident ID card or “senior certificate”;
- Children with a height of 1.4 meters or less;
- Children under 6 years old (including 6 years old) must present valid ID.
