Xiaoqi Village is divided into two parts. Shangxiaoqi Village is located upstream of the Yangsheng River, and Xiaxiaoqi Village is located downstream of the Yangsheng River. Between the two villages is a 500-meter-long ancient post road - Huirao Post Road. There are many tea pavilions in Xiaoqi, probably because the village road here is an old post road and remains of ancient customs. Xiaoqi Ancient Post Road was the only way from Wuyuan to Anhui in the past. All the famous Wuyuan tea was transported out of the mountains through this road. The ancient post road is paved with bluestone strips, starting from Xiaxiao, connecting with Xiaoqi, and then heading west to Anhui. The stone strips are about one meter wide, and there is a deep rutted groove in the center of the road, which is made by wheelbarrows year after year. Xiaoqi’s wheelbarrow was gradually out of use until the end of the last century. It is no exaggeration to say that the entire Xiaoqi was pushed out by a wheelbarrow. Nowadays, the highway only leads to Xiaxiaoqi. The ancient post road still has to be connected between Shang and Xiaxiaoqi. There is no second road. The unicycle is famous for its popularity. Nowadays, the main vehicle on the ancient post road is a frame car similar to a unicycle. Xiaoqi still has to rely on shoulders and hands to transport larger materials in and out.
