·Huayan Temple was built in the seventh year of Chongxi period of Liao Dynasty. It is divided into Upper Huayan Temple and Lower Huayan Temple. The two temples are in the same temple and are connected by the moon gate.
·The most noteworthy thing to see in Shanghuayan Temple is the Main Hall, which is the largest existing Buddhist temple in my country during the Liao and Jin Dynasties. The hall retains ancient relics authentically.
·There are many Liao Dynasty statues in Xia Huayan Temple, among which the “Bodhisattva with folded palms and exposed teeth” is the most famous, praised by Guo Moruo as the “Venus of the East”.
·Other buildings and statues in the temple are also very precious cultural relics. The entire Huayan Temple is a treasure of ancient Chinese architecture and Buddhist culture.
