The Huanxiu Bridge was built during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. It is said that in the past, standing on the top of the bridge on a sunny day, you could look north at the green mountains on the edge of Taihu Lake. There is a couplet here: the boat passes through the jasper ring, and the people walk up the rainbow belt, describing the two ways of crossing the bridge.
Huanxiu Bridge connects the Yanyu Corridor and the bustling West Street. It is also the only way from the promenade to Shipi Lane. Regardless of whether it is sunny, rainy or night, standing on the top of the bridge and overlooking the water town, you will see layers of gray walls and white tiles, two rows of red lanterns hanging high by the river, and awning boats in the river swaying with the waves. It is also a romantic beauty.
