Huang Kiln is a national intangible cultural heritage (handmade porcelain) productive protection and research demonstration base, a national cultural industry demonstration base, and a national industrial tourism demonstration site.
The Huangyao Scenic Spot is a scenic spot built according to the standard of “National 5A-level Scenic Spot”. The scenic spot covers an area of more than 210 acres. It is located on the bank of the Nanhe River, the birthplace of Jingdezhen Ceramics. It is adjacent to Yingtian and Baihu Bay in the south and north, including the Tang, Five Dynasties, Song and Yuan Dynasties. The kiln site is adjacent to Jingdezhen Ceramics Institute. The park is divided into 6 courtyards: there are Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing workshops that comprehensively display the traditional porcelain making techniques of the imperial kilns; there are large-scale modern high-tech porcelain production lines; there are the Imperial Kiln Ceramic Culture Research Institute, the International Ceramic Culture Exchange Center, Ancient Ceramics Appraisal Consulting Service Department, Ancient Ceramics Appraisal Advanced Training Course, The Huangyao Ceramic Art Museum; there is a ceramic creation park for nationally renowned calligraphers and painters; there is an internship base for college students majoring in ceramics at national higher art colleges, there is an employment incubation base for art university graduates, there is a national Tao Bar summer camp for primary and secondary school students; there are Confucianism and Taoism , Buddhist ceramic art creation and display area. The Imperial Kiln Scenic Spot is a panoramic reproduction, living inheritance, and true interpretation of the porcelain-making skills of the royal kilns of past dynasties as the core content of the Imperial Kiln Ceramics Cultural Tourism Scenic Spot.
