[Hallelujah Concert Hall] The “breathing building” Hallelujah Concert Hall is located at the entrance of the Ecological Plaza of Wulingyuan Huanglong Cave Scenic Area in Zhangjiajie, Hunan Province. It is designed by Yu Kongjian, dean of the School of Architecture and Landscape Design at Peking University and professor at Harvard University. Designed and constructed according to international standards, it has a construction area of 4970 square meters and a total investment of 160 million yuan.
The concert hall was originally called Huanglongdong Ecological Theater and was built in 2009. On September 15, 2010, it was officially named Hallelujah Concert Hall. Huang Yongyu, a famous painting master, inscribed the name of the concert hall.
The concert hall is backed by the Huanglongdong mountain with lush vegetation, facing the rice fields filled with smoke, and adjacent to the gurgling Suo River in the south. It has an excellent environment, and has a novel and unique design, beautiful and elegant shape, frame-scissor structure, and sloped roofs. It is a green roof with flowers and grass, and the exterior wall is made of local bluestone shale. The musical note string curtain wall is integrated with nature, shaped like a Zhangjiajie book that is about to be unfolded and is waiting for the world to read. A cultural treasure, like a piece of jade inlaid in Zhangjiajie, it is the most beautiful concert hall in the world.
