Guigu Cave is located in Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park in Zhangjiajie City. It is one of the sixteen caves in Tianmen Mountain. It hangs on a cliff on the west line of the top of Tianmen Mountain. According to legend, Gui Guzi, a political strategist, lived and practiced martial arts in this cave and got its name. The entrance of Guigu Cave is square and its location is extremely dangerous. It is more than 100 meters away from the top of the mountain and there is an abyss below.
According to legend, Gui Guzi, a famous scholar from the Warring States Period, once studied “Yi” on the wall inside the cave, practiced martial arts with great concentration, and created the world-famous “Gui Gu Magic Kung Fu”. It also contains the martial arts secret book “Thirty-six Heavenly Rulers of Tianmen”. Later generations called this cave Guigu Cave.
