Guandi Temple is located in a lane not far from the Nine Dragon Wall. Judging from the architectural techniques and characteristics, it is regarded as a relic of the Yuan Dynasty and is the only Yuan Dynasty building in Datong. The main buildings of Guandi Temple are arranged along the central axis, gradually including the mountain gate, the crossing hall, the east and west corridors, and the main hall (now partially rebuilt). The wing corners of the main hall are upturned, and the brackets are unique. The dragon-shaped patterns painted on the flat chess caisson well added in the Qing Dynasty in the hall are diverse and unique.
