·The main body is a small building with red walls and red tiles. It is commonly known as the “Red Building” by the locals. It is the place where the first shot of the Revolution of 1911 was fired.
·The building is a two-story Western-style building with brick and wood structure. Its architectural form is completely based on the parliament building of modern Western capitalist countries.
·The North Square was originally the Hubei Provincial Consultative Bureau in the late Qing Dynasty and is now the Wuchang Uprising Memorial Hall of the Revolution of 1911.
·The South Square is a newly built square to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the 1911 Revolution. In the middle of it stands a red triangular building called the 1911 Revolution Museum.
