Yungang Grottoes Museum is a Datong Yungang Grottoes Museum designed by architect Cheng Dapeng. It is located on the west side of the Yungang Grottoes Scenic Area in Datong City, within the style protection zone. It is one of the sub-projects of the renovation of the entire Yungang Grottoes Scenic Area.
The museum contains an exhibition hall and a multi-functional performing arts center (restored from the ruins of the original ancient city). The museum is arranged in staggered arches with a width of 4 meters and a span of 40 meters. The exhibition hall is a single-story large-span space, 6 meters underground, and the highest point above the ground is 5.8 meters above ground.
