The Town God’s Temple is located in the ancient city of Dangel (Old Street of Ming and Qing Dynasties) in Huangyuan County, Xining City. It was first built in the 41st year of Qianlong’s reign in the Qing Dynasty (1776). It has a history of more than 200 years and is the most complete preserved temple in the northwest region. One of the Chenghuang Temples. The overall building of the Chenghuang Temple faces south and has a layout of three entrances and two courtyards. It has a brick and wood structure. The temple building is simple and elegant, majestic and resplendent. Entering the City God’s Temple, you will see the screen wall, mountain gate, theater building, east and west wing rooms, east and west side halls, archway, main hall, east and west wing rooms, and sleeping palace. It is based on the Chinese style and incorporates the Tibetan style. It is grand and classic, which is rare in the northwest region.
