·Butter flower is a special technique of using butter (butter) to shape images. It is made by the monks of the monastery and painted with butter. It has various artistic forms and a wide range of themes.
·Tibetan compatriots firmly believe that those who sincerely and joyfully offer butter flowers to the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas and Dharma Protectors will be able to alleviate disasters and gain prosperity, and will surely gain happiness, great blessings, etc., and quickly achieve Ayodora Samyak Sambodhi.
·The Butter Flower Show is held at Kumbum Monastery every year on the fifteenth day of the first lunar month. This activity started in 1409 and continues to this day.
