Beidaihe Wetland Park is the largest urban wetland in my country. 412 species of birds have been discovered (a total of 1,329 species of birds in my country), and it is known as the “Mecca of bird watching”.
In order to effectively protect coastal wetland resources, create a good habitat area for birds, and restore the original ecological functions, the Beidaihe Wetland Restoration Project was launched, with a construction area of ​​about 700 acres. The renovation content mainly includes: demolishing illegal buildings, enriching regional plant species, and opening up the connection between the wetland and the Xinhe River and surrounding waters. After the restoration of Beidaihe Wetland, the ecological landscape, woodland, water system and water quality, and bird habitats will be reasonably managed, which will play a positive role in further improving the coastal ecological environment of Beidaihe District.
