Bajiao City is located on the platform where the Yangqu River and the Yangla River meet in the eastern part of the Ganjia Grassland. It is an ancient castle left over from the Western Han Dynasty. It was the hub of transportation between Gansu and Qinghai in ancient times and was named after its eight corners. The ruins of Bajiao City are now basically intact, and there are ordinary Tibetan villages within the city walls. The outline of the Bajiao City is a hollow cross. There are moats, moats, and outer walls outside the city. There is also an outer city outside the south gate. There is Zuohai Temple in Ganjia Township, not far from Bajiao Ancient City. It is the only Tibetan primitive religious temple in Gannan Prefecture and a holy place for spiritual practice by Dzogchen achievers.
