·The August 1st Nanchang Uprising Memorial Tower was built on the 50th anniversary of the “August 1st Nanchang Uprising” in 1977 and was completed on January 8, 1979. The tower is rectangular with a total height of 45.5 meters. To the north is the nine gilt bronze characters of “August 1st Nanchang Uprising Memorial Tower” inscribed by Marshal Ye Jianying, with a granite tablet “Introduction to the August 1st Nanchang Uprising” embedded below. The other three sides are three large granite reliefs: “Announcement of Uprising”, “Attack on Enemy Camp” and “Cheering for Victory”. There is a wing wall on each side of the tower, with a relief sculpture of the flag emblem of the Chinese Workers’ and Peasants’ Red Army surrounded by green pines and evergreens. The top of the tower is composed of an upright granite sculpture “Made in Hanyang” rifle and a red granite collage of the August 1st military flag.
·The memorial tower is majestic and tall in shape, with bright and profound meaning. Six layers of lights and multiple sets of projection lights are set up and down respectively, making the tower appear bright and transparent at night, telling people that the August 1st Army Flag will always be bright red and bright.
