Aoyu Peak is 1,780 meters high. The peak is named after its shape, like a huge and high whale head. The scenery at the top of Aoyu Peak is majestic and beautiful. On the left you can see Lotus Peak towering into the sky, and on the right you can see the flying rocks of the West Sea. The South China Sea is wide in front and Guangmingding is in the back.
The best view of Aoyu Peak is from the Baibu Ladder. Standing on the 100-step ladder and looking back at Aoyu Peak, a huge whale appears in front of you. The round, long and high whale body and the huge and high head of the whale are vividly displayed; the whale’s mouth is wide open, with the potential to swallow it. There are several rocks in front of the peak, which look like snails from a distance, forming wonderful scenes such as “Ao fish eating snails” and “Old Ao laying eggs”. There is a large turtle-shaped stone on the back of the peak, which is called “Aoyu Carrying Golden Turtle”. As long as you watch it in person, you will definitely feel the majestic momentum of Aoyu Peak, “Let your clouds rise and fall, and I will stand with my head held high.”
