The Bailang Peak Scenic Area (Taoerhe National Wetland Park) in Aershan, Inner Mongolia is located in Bailang Town, central part of Aershan City, Inner Mongolia, 35 kilometers away from the center of Aershan and 3 kilometers southeast of Bailang Town. The transportation is convenient, close to the S203 line, the railway has Bailang Station, and is 65 kilometers away from Aershan Airport. It is 45 kilometers from Bailangfeng Scenic Area to Aershan National Forest Park and 120 kilometers from Hulunbuir Grassland.
The highest altitude of Bailang Peak is 1,511 meters. The nearly 200 hectares of ice-margin stone sea at the peak has built a natural viewing platform for the scenic spot. The scenic area is dominated by Bailangfeng and Taoerhe National Wetland Park, which combines the periglacial stone sea, virgin forest, wetland ice and snow, rivers and lakes, ice and snow resources with the wolf road culture and forest custom culture to create tourism products. The Inner Mongolia Bailang Taoerhe National Wetland Park at the foot of Bailang Peak has a total area of 1,135 hectares. It passed the acceptance of the State Forestry Administration in 2014 and is the first national wetland park in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The park takes the river wetland landscape as the main body, and integrates natural landscapes such as forests, shrubs, swamps, mountains, ice and snow, and cultural landscapes based on forest customs and culture. The Wetland Science Education Center in the park provides a platform for you to learn about wetlands.
As you drive along the winding and steep mountain road, you will see the tall and vigorous Xing’an larch, the graceful white birch and aspen, and the various black birches. You will find that the forest vegetation in the Greater Xing’an Mountains is distributed in echelons as the altitude increases. Walking out of the forest sea, you will be shocked by the strange rocks piled up all over the mountain. The ice edge stone sea is full of strange rocks and pines. Walking to the top of the peak, you can have a panoramic view of the vast forests of the Greater Khingan Range, the winding Taoer River, and the exotic scenery of the Mongolian Plateau. “You will be at the top of the mountain and see all the small mountains at a glance.” The infinite beauty of the mountains and rivers of the motherland will arise spontaneously. In spring, the mountains are full of azaleas. In midsummer, clouds and mist linger after the rain. In autumn, the forests are filled with colorful guests. In winter, wax figures are wrapped in silver. It’s a northern scenery.
Come to Menglang Linjiale to experience the production and life in the forest area, watch the forestry workers’ logging, branching, lumber making, corrugating, stacking, loading and other production processes, personally participate in lifting wood, sawing wood, chopping and mixing, and get to know the employees The large tent in the dormitory, the iron stove, and lying on the small pole bunk allow you to truly understand the production and life in the Daxinganling forest area, which will leave you with unforgettable memories.
Bailangfeng Self-driving Camp takes you back to the ancient primitive tribes in the north. Walk into the wood carvings, tuoluozi and yurts, ride on Mongolian horses, bring hunting and hooking tools, and experience a pure fishing and hunting life. Playing with deer in the jungle, boating on the Riyue Lake, rafting on the Taoer River, catching cold-water fish, and tasting mountain delicacies will make you forget to leave.
