Thanks for the invitation. I briefly talked about this issue in my travel notes——
The initial reason was that I wanted to go out for fun. The final reason was that from February to April this year, the cost was low and the attractions were free of charge. The underlying reason was that I thought it would be cooler to go there. The other reason was that I wanted to experience what altitude sickness feels like.
The news that Tibet tickets are free from February to April is simply a call to me, shining like a bright light on me to look for it. we are going
Lhasa
I didn’t do any homework or preparation before, but I just “just left”.
After going to Lhasa, I found that I could go anywhere in the world, and all the plateaus were unlocked for me.
It really felt like an “achievement unlock” was triggered in the game. When I boarded the plane for the return trip, it was like the achievement popped up with special effects. That moment was truly glorious.
What is more important is the following experience, which is recorded at the end of the travelogue:
this time
Lhasa
Traveling is an experiment, which is to test our altitude sickness. I should have fully adapted before I left Sarah. My head didn’t hurt at all. My wife was here.
Lhasa
I didn’t take any medicine on the last day and was very energetic. I feel that if you are willing to take oxygen here, altitude sickness should not be that severe. If I counted correctly, I bought a total of 21 bottles of oxygen this time, two of which cost 128 yuan (no different from those worth tens of yuan), 10 bottles for 35 yuan, and 9 bottles for 20 yuan. The total cost was less than 1,000 yuan. But the money can provide a certain guarantee for travel, and it should be said that it is well spent. What’s more, tens of thousands of dollars have been spent on air tickets and hotels, and the oxygen money should be considered a fraction. In addition, my wife took headache medicine in the next few days, and it had no impact at all when going out to play. She was also very energetic. Although the headache medicine covered up some things, it can guarantee that it will not affect the play. My wife and I have a very short trip, so driving into Tibet by ourselves or taking a train would definitely not be our best choice. Although there was no adaptation process to flying directly into Tibet, for both of us, if the food was not as good as the previous two days, the altitude sickness might not be as severe, but we eventually adapted.
In fact, the words “altitude sickness” should have stopped a group of people from coming here. No one knew what it would be like before coming, including my wife and me. But if I don’t come, I will never know whether I can adapt to the plateau, and I will never experience the life on the plateau. Altitude sickness varies from person to person and manifests itself differently in everyone. Some people may not experience any symptoms at all, while others may experience severe symptoms. We used to worry about whether there would be problems if our children came, but now
Lhasa
When I was there, I saw many families coming here with children of similar sizes. There were even children who followed their parents to Yanghu and Namtso, but these children seemed to be fine.
Someone asked us, are we here to spend money to buy suffering? It is true that altitude sickness is very uncomfortable, but we have experienced it now. If we come here again, we will have experience in dealing with altitude sickness, and altitude sickness will not be a problem.
The essence of every trip is to go to a strange place, which involves certain risks. Travel money can be regarded as a kind of risky investment. Just like this trip to Lhasa, we overcame altitude sickness and finally saw Yanghu Lake and Namtso. We accomplished our goals and it was considered a profit from our investment. If the altitude sickness had been severe, neither of us would have been able to get out of bed, and there would have been no scenic spots. Go, even if the investment is lost. The fun of traveling lies in the unknown, and the unknown represents risk. So who can guarantee that every time you face a risk, you will make a profit without losing money? As long as it’s within your own financial limits, don’t worry about money and focus on experience. Even if you have altitude sickness, when facing the scenery here, you feel like you are in hell and your eyes are in heaven.
Travel notes aside, if anyone still asks me why I went
Lhasa
, I will answer simply:
I just want to see it! At the same time, I would also say that the world is so big and I want to see it!
Visiting Lhasa will also give you the courage to travel around the world.
If you see this right
