湿地最独特的自然景观：泛沙泉
草湖湿地的水源来自讨赖河、露头泉水和地下水共同汇成的天然沼泽湿地。最独特的自然景观是由地下水涌出地面冲击细沙而形成的泛沙泉。远望，浪花翻滚，宛若莲花；近观，随喷泉翻涌的沙子被涤荡得晶莹剔透。奇独的是，无论冬夏，泛沙泉水位恒定，不增不减，且咸甜水相伴相生。
