Hello, I’m here
Jingdezhen
After three days of playing, I only went to one expensive attraction (the Imperial Kiln Factory Ruins), and the rest were free:
First, there are many small experience studios in the city. I can find them on Meituan or other group buying apps. You can visit these for free, and you can also watch the whole process of other people making porcelain.
The second is the Sculpture Porcelain Factory near the new factory. There is a large-scale ceramics market on weekends. Most of them are all kinds of ceramics made by students from the local ceramic college. It is absolutely eye-opening. I even bought several to take home. Affordable.
The third is the Ceramic Creative Park near the ancient kiln factory. There are many studios and shops in it. It is definitely a feast for the eyes if you just wander around.
The fourth is the museum in the city, which is free to visit. Although it only has two floors, you can get a good understanding of the history and craftsmanship of ceramics.
hint:
Don’t miss the local small yellow croaker (chain store). It costs more than 20 yuan per serving. The portion is sufficient, the ingredients are fresh, and the taste is great. I ate it twice and couldn’t get enough. I must try it! However, you have to be mentally prepared to wait for a table, but don’t be afraid of crowds. The longer the wait time, the greater the discount. I waited for less than an hour and got a 20% discount at the checkout, which was great!
