It rains in Tibet at night. Although the sky is clear during the day, there are many heavy clouds and it is difficult to see the snow-capped mountains, especially Namjagbarwa Peak, also known as the “Shameful Girl Peak”. It is difficult to see, but we added My friends who came to Tibet at the same time were lucky and arrived at Sejila Pass just a little earlier than us, and then we saw it. We went there on the second and third day and never saw it again.

At the airport, we picked up our rental car, found a nearby hotel, changed into wedding dresses, and it was already past 4 o’clock when we left.
However, there is a time difference between Tibet and Beijing. According to my estimate, it is 2 hours. Therefore, the sun rises later in Tibet and the dark is almost around 9 o’clock.
In the afternoon we drove on the way to the Brahmaputra Grand Canyon. This scenic spot has very poor reviews, but it is said that the scenery along the way is very good.
Along the way, the scenery was not bad, but we could never see the snow-capped mountains. I originally wanted to take the wedding photos this time with snow-capped mountains, but in the end I still left myself with regrets.
On the way you will see the long Niyang River and there is a viewing platform with spectacular views of the Niyang River.
After walking for a long time, we finally saw such a small snow-capped mountain. We stopped to take wedding photos for a while and then left in a hurry.
In fact, the scenery here is not very good, but it was getting dark at that time, and my husband didn’t want to walk at night, and he didn’t have a good rest in Chengdu the day before.

Lulang Linhai and Lulang Town may be very beautiful during the Peach Blossom Festival in March, but there will be many people coming at that time. When we went there that day, there were almost no tourists in the town, so we took pictures casually Our wedding photos.
Before leaving, we went to a gas station to refuel. Tibet is a place where you need an ID card everywhere you go out, including when you come to refuel. You must first go to such a window or cashier to register with your real name. The driver must bring his ID card, driver’s license, and driving book to register with his real name and get a note. Then you can go refuel.

To reach Lulang, you have to climb the 4,728-meter Sejila Pass. This is also the best place to view Namjagbarwa Peak. Unfortunately, this “Shy Girl Peak” cannot be seen for two-thirds of the year. True luck, we didn’t wait for the god of luck that day.

The peak in the distance that is tightly wrapped in clouds is Namjagbarwa Peak, and you can’t even see it at all. In fact, I didn’t have high hopes before coming here. We usually can’t take such a long vacation, so we can only combine it with the short vacation, so we are destined not to see her in the most beautiful season in Tibet. Tibet enters the rainy season after June. Although it almost rains at night, there are heavy clouds during the day, making it difficult to appreciate the snow-capped mountains.
Shortly after crossing the Sejila Mountain, you will reach the Lulang Forest Sea.
Personally, I think the scenery of Lulang Forest Sea is very average, so I didn’t buy a ticket to go in to see it, because the plank road to see the scenery requires taking stairs. We were still in the plateau adaptation stage that day, and we didn’t dare to climb the stairs at an altitude of more than 3,000 meters. .

Not long after that, we arrived at the small town of Lulang. It was really beautiful and very quiet when we went there. The town immediately gave people a sense of tranquility.

The town is very small, but because it is the off-season, there are few people and it is very quiet. You can see the snow-capped mountains from the door of the hotel where you stay, but unfortunately there is only a little bit of it, and it comes and goes. Even when you come out, you still hold your pipa and half cover your face.
I stayed at this hotel in the small town of Lulang. The hotel is very big and the location is very good. The name of the hotel is the Oxygen Hotel. The room has diffused oxygen supply. It costs 200 yuan a day and the oxygen is provided by swiping your card. There is no time limit. This is very good. The oxygen supply equipment of the hotels in Lhasa and Shigatse we went to later were not as good as this. The one in Shigatse still only provided oxygen at night. If we come here during the Peach Blossom Festival in March or April, it should be easy to see the snow-capped mountains from this location. They have a second-floor viewing room, and you can see the snow-capped mountains when you open the window. However, the snow-capped mountains were very thin when we went there, so we didn’t stay there. We had a view room, but because we had just arrived on the plateau, at an altitude of more than 3,000 meters, the oxygen for one night allowed us to sleep well.
After changing into wedding dresses in the afternoon, we took wedding photos in the town, as well as the rapeseed fields next to the town. The rapeseed fields were grown by Tibetans for a fee, and we spent 20 yuan to take pictures.
I spent 20 yuan and borrowed a Tibetan horse to use as a prop.
This is my most satisfying wedding photo. I bought my husband’s clothes specially to match, and my red shawl was specially prepared for Tibet.
You could see no one on the whole road, and occasionally one or two cars passed by, so we were not disturbed in any way.  
The third day is for making adjustments and for starting from the second day.

If we go from Lulang, it will basically take 7 hours of driving. If we stop and take photos on the way, it may take nearly 9 hours. Self-driving on the plateau cannot be so tiring at the beginning, so we decided to go first on the fourth day.

When we climbed Sejila Mountain again, the weather was already very bad. It rained almost all the way. Naturally, we still couldn’t see Namjagbarwa Peak. The road down the mountain is so curved downhill. There are many such curves, some of which are almost 180° bends, and you can’t see the oncoming traffic at all.

In the urban area, it feels like it is no different from an ordinary town in a plain area. There are shops everywhere, but the speed limit in the city is 40, so everyone drives very slowly.

The hotel didn’t reserve a room for us, so they upgraded us to a suite that costs more than 1,000 a night. This is the first time in my life that I have stayed in such a big hotel room. There are only two toilets. It’s a very shabby room, and there are people around it. The police in other places are super safe.
It was the first time I stayed in a room like this. There was a toilet at the entrance, a leather sofa in the living room, and an extra large toilet in the bedroom.
There are also two such large balconies that open to the opposite mountains, although they are both covered by clouds.
Such a room costs about 1,200 yuan if booked directly. We only spent 450 yuan to book a double bed room, and there was no room for upgrade. So in the afternoon we originally wanted to go around the Niyang River, but decided not to go and enjoy it. A shaobao restaurant with a price of more than 1,000.
I have to say that this room is really big. It’s so big that my husband at the door can’t hear me when I talk in the back room. Think about it, my own home in Beijing is not that big!
After the sun went down in the evening, we went to the local supermarket. When we go out, we always bring special products for our family.
This is a relatively large local supermarket, not far from where we live, so we drove here because we needed to buy a lot of things. It only took about 5 minutes.
Although the supermarket is relatively large in the local area, it is actually at the level of supermarkets in Beijing. The items are relatively average, but there are quite a lot of specialty products, more than those in Shigatse where I went later. The prices here are a bit expensive, but there is no way. The prices in Tibet are It is generally more expensive than the plains.
The mineral water from Nongfu Spring sold for 3 yuan a bottle. I didn’t have time to take pictures at the time, but the price of beef and mutton was very cheap.
Beef rolls are only 14 yuan per pound. In comparison, they are neither better nor worse.

To go to Lhasa, you need to take the Linla Highway. This section of the road is easy to drive and has beautiful scenery, even better than Route 318.
