D2: Visit Gulangyu Island during the day. After putting away your luggage, you can visit Gulangyu Sunlight Rock, Shuzhuang Garden, Haoyue Garden, Customs Museum, International Lettering Art Museum, International Architecture and other attractions. In the afternoon, take a boat back to the city. You can choose 6 p.m. Take the ferry at around 10:00 a.m., and the passenger ship will go directly to the pier near Zhongshan Road, where you can directly visit Zhongshan Road and Taiwan Snack Street. You can live on Zhongshan Road or Zengcuo’an
D3: Take the bus to the West Village of Xiamen University in the morning and visit Nanputuo. If you have the energy, you can climb the back mountain of Nanputuo to see the entire Xiamen University from a high place. Then, after descending the mountain, enter from the south gate of Xiamen University. Visit Xiamen University’s Furong Lake, Lover’s Valley, Lu Xun Building, Museum of Humanity, Jiannan Auditorium, Furong Restaurant, Furong Tunnel, etc. You can go out of the Furong Tunnel. After exiting the tunnel, take a bus to the Huli Mountain Fort. To visit the Huli Mountain Fort, you can rent a bicycle. Zengcuo’an: It’s on Huandao South Road, close to Xiamen University and Hulishan Fort. The beach is right out of the road; there are buses that can reach the pier and go to Gulangyu Island.

The famous snack street has many cafes and B&Bs with various petty bourgeoisie styles. You can go to the beach for a walk at any time. If you want to live by the beach, you can choose here, but it is a bit noisy at night.
Huangcuo: It’s 3 kilometers deeper than Zengcuo’an. It’s a little less crowded, but the bus is just as convenient. There are buses to Xiamen University, Gulangyu Island, high-speed rail station, and Zengcuo’an. There are many B&Bs, as well as night markets and snack streets. There is a beach across the road when you go out, and it is close to Yefeng Village. The price-performance ratio of the B&B is much better than that of Zengcuo’an. It is relatively quiet and suitable for people with a small budget and who like quiet.
If you want to stay in Gulangyu Island, it is recommended to stay in Gulangyu Island for one night before returning.
