Where you stay depends on your schedule of attractions.
Dujiangyan
If you go there, it will basically take you half a day to explore easily. There are only so many scenic spots, and the main thing is to experience the magnificent construction. There was also a tree inside. The tour guide said it was the tree used in the filming of Journey to the West. I have a vague impression of the specific episode. It seemed to be a ginseng fruit, but I remember the scene clearly. It’s best to listen to the tour guide’s introduction when visiting this kind of attraction, it will be much more interesting.
Qingcheng Mountain
If so, it is recommended to stay one night and climb the mountain early the next morning. The air in the mountains is really good. You can stay in Tai’an Ancient Town, which is very convenient. It is also close to the entrance to the mountain and not far from the ticket purchase/collection point.
This is the distance up the mountain from where I live (there is no need to take a sightseeing bus, it is indeed relatively close). One thing to mention, you don’t need to live on the main street of the ancient town, because it was very noisy outside from early in the morning. Go up the mountain from Feiquangou and go down from Wulonggou. My impression was that it was a 4-hour journey and we hadn’t quite reached the top of the mountain yet. We just bought tickets when we reached the place where we could sit down on the cable car. The queue was super long at that time. Due to my physical strength and considering the weather, it was a bit late, so I couldn’t buy a ticket, so I didn’t feel regretful that I didn’t reach the top. Young people can really experience the beautiful scenery inside. It is not recommended to go if you are with the elderly, as it will be very physically demanding. Because then you won’t be able to go up or down, because the ropeway is only on one side. I think it is possible to visit Dao Qingcheng once in my life.
There are many bumpy roads along the way, and the roads are very narrow. Some people go up the mountain, and some people can’t insist on going back the same way (they can’t insist on taking the ropeway). There are many places where you need to be particularly careful. Of course the journey is really worth it. There are a lot of snacks sold on the way, which are definitely more expensive. After all, it is not easy for people to move up there, so if you are tired and hungry after walking, you can replenish your energy.
This is about spending money to gain experience. Although I personally don’t think it’s a good experience, I don’t rule out that some people want to feel the feeling of lying in the embrace of nature.
I didn’t post the difficult road. I just want to show you the scenery in the mountains. If you don’t go there, you won’t be able to feel it and you won’t be able to take pictures of its beauty. This is a journey that I don’t want to take a second time, but I feel that I must take it once in my life.
